Saturday and Sunday, July 23 - 24 -- Sunday Parkways Walk - NW Portland
                            Legacy Good Sam Medical Center - Bldg. 2, 1015 NW 22nd Ave.

10 / 5 km routes - rated 1+  -  Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
The walk will go in the NW area to Wallace Park, Chapman School, thru the Pearl District, Old Town and along Naito Parkway, Saturday Market, and China Town. This year the streets are not closed until 11 am on Sunday which on hot days might be a little late for many walkers. Therefore we are offering the walk also on Saturday when the streets are not shut down as a regular walk.

Sunday, August 28 - Sunday Parkways Walk - SE Portland
                           Providence Portland Medical Center, Cancer Clinic Conference Lobby

10 5 km routes - rated 1+  -  9:00 am to 1:00 pm        This is the 4th Sunday Parkway (2nd volkswalk). The walk will be in the southeast portion of Portland including Laurelhurst Park, Hawthorne Street Fair, and Colonel Summers Park. The streets do not close until 11 am this year. Early walkers will not see the activities on the streets and parks but will probably have cooler weather. Last year over 15,00 particpates came to this event - mostly bicycle riders.

Saturday, September 3 - Hazelia Field at Luscher Farm Walk - Lake Oswego, OR
                                Hazelia Field at corner of SW Stafford and SW Overlook Dr., Lake Oswego

10 / 5 km routes  -  rated 2  -  8:00 am to noon, finish by 3:00 pm        Walk on paved and natural surfaces. Through Luscher Farm, Cooks Butte Trail and neighborhoods.

Sunday, September 25  -  Sunday Parkways Walk - NE Portland                                                                                        Fernhill Park, NE Holman St. and NE 41st Ave., Portland

10 / 5 km routes  -  rated 1+  -  9:00 am to noon        This is the 6th Sunday Parkway (3rd volkswalk) and last event in 2011. The walk will have 8 miles of streets closed off to non motorized traffic with only walkers, bicycles, skates and other non motorized means of transportation. The route will include Alberta, Fernhill, Woodlawn, and McCoy parks. This year the streets do not close until 11 am so those that come early will have to walk on sidewalks and the parks will not have activities until 11 am.
